How text to 3D works here

Your words go through two AI steps on our own graphics card. First the AI draws one object from your description: whole, centred, on a plain background, seen from slightly above and to the side. Then the 3D engine builds the full shape from that drawing, including the sides the drawing does not show, repairs the mesh so it is closed, and paints the colours on. It takes about two to three minutes.

Not what you pictured? Add a colour, a material or a style and try again; every attempt gives a different version.

What works well, and what doesn't

• Works well: single, solid objects such as mugs, vases, shoes, helmets, chairs, toys, figurines and cartoon animals.
• Works well: short descriptions with a colour or a material, like “a blue ceramic teapot” or “a wooden toy train”.
• One object only. Describe a scene or several things and the AI usually picks one of them; the rest is dropped.
• Hard: thin, see-through or fluffy things such as wire, glass, hair, fur and leaves.
• No exact products. The AI draws its own version, not the real product. Name a brand or ask for words and it may add a logo or lettering, but not an exact copy.
• The back is a guess. The sides the drawing does not show are estimated and take the colours of the front, so a detailed back comes out plainer than the front.
• Refused: real, living people, firearms, gore and adult content.

Text to 3D model free: the limits

Why fewer from text: drawing the object first roughly doubles the work for the graphics card. A failed attempt or a refused description does not count. No watermark on any tier. Your description and the model are deleted after 45 minutes.

How to make a 3D model from text

1. Type one object in the box above, in a few words.
2. Wait two to three minutes while the AI draws it and builds the 3D shape.
3. Rotate the model to check it.
4. Download GLB, OBJ or STL.
