If you came here from a forum thread: we don't know what any thread recommends, and we are not part of it. What we can tell you is what the tool above does: free for up to five photos per run and ten runs a day, with no account. A trained model does the restoring, the way the Remini AI does in its app.

Upload a photo and PicReviver's restoration pass enlarges it and redraws fine detail on our own GPU, and the download is the full-resolution result, not a locked preview. No account, no watermark, and the result is wiped within 45 minutes.
Be realistic about what any Remini-style enhancer can do. PicReviver redraws detail from what is still in the photo; this pass isn't a clone-stamp or inpainting tool (tears have a separate repair brush), and the finer the detail it adds, the more that detail is a prediction rather than the original. Our own small spot check (26 September 2026, public-domain test photos) shows where it falls short. On 1 faded photo it removed noise but didn't bring back the faded contrast, and on 3 heavily blurred crops it barely improved anything. Enlarging went better: on 4 small test crops the result was much sharper than plain resizing, though part of that sharpness is invented texture. On 2 small faces the face mode gave a recognisable result, but it shifted the eye shape on an old portrait. That is a handful of photos, not a verdict.
In short: this isn't a promise that PicReviver's result looks identical to Remini's or MyHeritage's, because different models make different calls on the same photo. The promise is narrower: no subscription, no credit purchase, full resolution back immediately. For a general old family photo, start with restore old photos.
On a PC this runs in any desktop browser, with no download. On Android and iOS it needs no separate app or sideloaded APK either, since it is a website; as a Remini alternative website, the upload button is the whole product.
Compared with the Remini app and other alternative apps, the difference is mostly about installing and paying: nothing to install here, five photos per run free, and the full-resolution file straight away. As a web alternative it also works on a borrowed computer. If you were looking for Remini web specifically, this is a different, independent service.
As with the Remini photo enhancer, the job here is rebuilding lost detail, on our own GPU instead of theirs. Like the Remini AI photo enhancer, it is a trained model, not a filter, and what the AI is good at is soft and small photos, not miracles. This page isn't open source; Upscayl, listed below, is, and worth a look if that matters to you.
