Every burst of near-identical photos has the same problem: in shot one, someone blinked; in shot two, someone else looked away. Best Take doesn't guess or generate anything — it finds the same face across your uploaded photos and keeps whichever version is sharpest and most in-focus, then blends it into the first photo's frame using the same alignment technique our face-restore tool uses. If your first photo already has the best face for everyone, nothing changes.
This works well for the classic burst-photo problem: near-identical framing, same people, seconds apart. It is not a general face swap — it can't put you into a photo you weren't in, and it can't fix a face that's blinking or blurry in every photo you uploaded, since there's nothing better to merge in. If your photos are from very different angles or moments, the faces may not match up correctly.
We built it this way on purpose. An open face-swap tool between any two photos is a well-known source of abuse (deepfakes), and the models used for that (like inswapper_128) aren't licensed for commercial use anyway. This tool only ever recombines faces that already exist in photos you uploaded together — nothing is generated.
